Friday Musings: Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013
It’s only natural that Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce would look to their homeland of Sicily for inspiration for the Spring 2013 collection. And what a cheery springtime tune they are singing too – with bright sunshiny homage to the island’s vibrant street markets, puppet theaters, and beachside holidays.
Think street-scene prints in saturated primary hues, beaded embroidery, raffia basket weave, still-life florals, tassels, and folksy appliqué.
