Fredericks & Mae is a material anthropolgy of objects with confused origins. Tools, games and rituals trace arcs though history and across the earth – we follow these arcs: nose to the ground and mouths agape.

Solid fun times are what New York duo Fredericks & Mae – aka Gabriel Fredericks Cohen and Jolie Mai Sigornile – are all about; gather round young and old and let the games begin!

Kites littered with pressed flowers, flag dominos, bows and arrows that make your inner child sing that’s what we’re talking about. Full of good humored mischief and adventure, these are fond pastimes given a tickle.

The use of honest and robust materials mean these good looking objects for home, garden and sky will be around for generations with their handmade and hand-painted decorations rubbed back by the touch of many hands. These are objects of substance that could meld into the most sophisticated interior. Lets face it toys that don’t need tiding away are a really really good thing.
