Armadillo & Co x Becker Minty
Sydney’s revered homewares store, Becker Minty has partnered with rug designer Armadillo & Co to create a one-of-a-kind retail experience. On display now at their Potts Point outpost until July 15th, the collaboration sees Becker Minty’s surfaces – floors, walls and tables – wrapped in Armadillo & Co’s collection of Paragon rugs, elevating the functional furnishings to works of art.

“With our shared appreciation for the unexpectedly beautiful, collaborating with Becker Minty was a natural fit.”, says Sally Pottharst, co-founder of Armadillo & Co.
The partnership between the dynamic design teams has resulted in a store fit out that feels more art exhibition than retail – and all pieces on display can be purchased. Rugs have been styled to highlight Paragon’s design complexities. Inspired by natural rock formations, Curator Claire Delmar focused on subtle but intelligent placement in order to let the objects “quietly reveal their radiance”.
The arrangement of home décor, art, furniture and rugs in this collaborative effort has resulted in tableaus reminiscent of the ‘Last Supper’. Set against a crumbling French provincial backdrop, the compositions nod to a bygone era.
