Taking inspiration from the statues, follies, menageries and architecture found within grand French landscaped gardens, the new collection from British wallpaper company Cole & Son ‘Folie’ takes a walk through the many gardens of France – Versailles, Rousseau, Fontainebleau, Villandry, Bagatelle and Tivoli. It’s a little bit of flower and a lot of folly. Rousseau, a ‘cartouche’ wallpaper features a painted scenes of exotic palm trees, zebras, giraffes and flamingos and draws inspiration from porcelain tableware of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The Cobalt blue is our pick.
