ARENT&PYKE’S AUSTRALIAN INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS SHORTLIST & WEBSITE RELAUNCH
Introducing the Figtree House…
Tasked with transforming a beachside Victorian Terrace into a home befitting a young couple with small children, the brief required the spaces to evoke different moods while still being flexible to the needs of a young family. The spaces of the home reflect their purpose; from the composed inky solemnity of the intimate formal areas to the sun bleached lightness of the casual family spaces.
And introducing the Park View House…
Providing a light filled home for a busy couple, light’s transformative qualities are fully explored. Conceptually the design switches the oppressive contrast of a bright view and dark interior to harmonious incursions of light. To this end the interior is softened with natural timber and stone floorings, a complexly nuanced colour palette and lightness of scale delivered and reiterated as fine line detailing in black and brass.
Arent&Pyke’s recently completed Figtree House and Park View House have both been shortlisted in this year’s Australian Interior Design Awards 2015.
As well as this big news, Arent&Pyke are delighted to announce the launch of their new website. Designed by Squad Ink, the site is a reflection of the Arent&Pyke experience with its clarity, restraint, sophistication, and unique curation.
Showcasing their impressive body of work in a beautifully engaging way across all devices, a simple and fluid grid which heroes the carefully curated imagery and clean crisp typography was employed.
