It was pure delight sourcing our favourite Missoni Home textiles from the current collection at Spence & Lyda and photographing them at home in Milan.
The stunning fabric selection was styled and shot at the historic Oratorio della Passione in Milan with an Australian creative team – stylist Alicia Sciberras, creative director Jack Milenkovic and photographer Paul Barbera. The result is a celebration of design that translates geography, history and culture. Old meets new, the contemporary sitting comfortably alongside the historic, Italian style echoing Australian sensibilities. The deep afternoon light reminiscent of the Australian mood, the shimmering textiles playing with the shadows of the architecture.
Every year, Missoni Home releases new layers to the enduring collections that play with the classics like the chevron and modern floral prints, and are presented with luxurious tactility through cut velvets, embroidery, boucle weaves, and sheers. The palettes range from darker, subdued chic hues to a punchy pop of happy, bright, warm tones.
