Rachel Comey x Quarry
In the midst of designing the LA store (featured here on In/Out), fashion designer Rachel Comey reached out to New York-based friend and QUARRY jewellery designer Ninh Wysocan. A collaboration of architectural elegance, meditated materiality and signature quirks between the designers compliments Comey’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection with both grace and edge.
Inspired by traditional urban architectural materials, specifically mid century sand-cast reliefs that adorn public buildings all over New York City, the scale of the built environment has been captured and translated into intimate gestures of beauty. Minimal and modern, the QUARRY capsule collection is the perfect counterpoint to Comey’s quirk and charismatic eye.
