The Anvil is centrally located in the town of Jackson, Wyoming; a town home to world-class dining, theatres, art galleries, shopping boutiques and of course, an abundance of outdoor action activities.
Anvil Hotel opened earlier this year to much acclaim. Designed in collaboration with the Brooklyn-based firm, Studio Tack, alongside hotelier Erik Warner, the 50-room boutique accommodation lends itself to an aesthetic that is similar to the Shaker homes with a space that is restrained and uncomplicated. The hotel’s character is executed through rich textures, intricate details and an attention to quality craftsmanship. Furnishings include custom metal beds designed by Studio Tack in collaboration with century-old brass maker Charles P. Rogers, custom benches by Tretiak Works, side tables by Hedge House and blankets by Woolrich. The palette dances between deep shades of olive green, navy blue, walnut, and teal to create a comforting space amidst the wintery landscape that surrounds the hotel.
Bedroom walls are painted in two-tone, divided with high wainscoting details and sophisticated headboard panelling.
A continuation of rich walnut timber and moody hues is present in the hotel’s restaurant, Glorietta, a laid-back Italian trattoria serving the perfect sort of comfort meals that are required after a long day on the slopes. The menu is designed to share amongst friends, piled into leather banquette seating and overseen by ambient pendant lighting sourced from Allied Maker. The communal dining table designed from reconstituted timber strikes the perfect balance of rustic and contemporary style with crisp white tiles and black grout skirting the bar and bench seating.
To complete the offering, Anvil has strategically placed Adirondack chairs on each verandah for those keen to soak in the picturesque view of Yellowstone. A boutique hotel perfectly situated to welcome travellers in the vibrant locale of Jackson, bringing a fresh perspective to traditional lodge style accommodation.
