Pinch
A fruitful husband and wife collaboration, Pinch was born in the UK in 2004 and since then, has been going great guns. Russell Pinch & Oona Bannan have designed furniture and lighting pieces that are quietly refined with fine craftsmanship and classic lines they have stayed true to their aim “to design and make furniture and lighting that we would want to live with”… god knows we want to!
Their curated collection is sublimely serene. There is no difference between the level of detail that is applied to the exterior face or the interior carcass, they are both beautifully considered. Pinch & Bannan believe that, “We live in a cluttered world and understand that any furniture or product has to work very hard to win its place.” This is a quote that rings true with us as designers as we strive to build environments that have longevity.
Honest materials and a subdued colour palette contribute to the sense of composure to their furniture. The pendant fittings are ethereal in their lightness of material. Warm hues of the furniture pieces are soft and forgiving for perfectly relaxed interiors. The Derome lamps with their ash and tulipwood base have presence and grace like wise night guardians.
