New York based Egg Collective’s trio, Stephanie Beamer, Crystal Ellis, and Hillary Petric are super busy creating the next generation of heirlooms. With backgrounds in architecture, woodworking and art, they continuously achieve furniture that is quietly highbrow.
True conception, seamless craftsmanship and a sublime choice of materiality ensures longevity. Each piece a hero in its own right, their collection also works as an eclectic complementary family. The ‘Ritter Chest’s warm grey lacquered wood body is topped in stone and floats above its petite bronze feet. The marble base of the ‘Hawley ‘ side table sits firmly on the ground while its hexagonal brass disc radiates invitingly. The ‘Hanger Bookcase’, ‘Turner Sideboard’, and ‘Morrison Sideboard’ are divine examples of storage in materials such as walnut, bronze, stone and leather.
This ensemble of wonderful talent are perhaps just in time to save us all from consumerism as their legacy of furniture will outlive us all.
