Rachel Comey goes west
Rachel Comey is on our radar, but not just for fashion. The second store of the eponymous label in Los Angeles provides infinite interior inspiration…
Our love of the Rachel Comey aesthetic – from the fashion label to retail fit out is awakened yet again with the launch of the Los Angeles flagship, the second boutique to the Crosby Street, New York store.
Located on Melrose Place in West Hollywood, the LA vibe is high, with a louche Californian feel. A curated fusion of textural elements such as custom skylights, exposed brick and raw wood, corrugated iron, and concrete terrazzo flooring unite the open plan space, which was initially three separate buildings. Industrial highlights are complemented with pops of red lacquer, black furnishings and a completely covetable custom wicker bench seat.
Comey and the Creative Director of the brand, Sean Carmody collaborated with architect Elizabeth Roberts and interior designer Charles deLise (who also conceived the New York store) and local LA architect Linda Taalman.
We’re LA dreaming… yet again.
