Opposites Attract in Oslo
Creative Couple, Alessandro D’Orazio and Jannicke Krakvik are interior designers, stylists and owners of one of Oslo’s most beloved boutiques, Kollekted. Having lived and worked together since 2003 the pair has finally been able to design their own lust-worthy interiors in their fin de siècle apartment in Gamlebyen, part of the city’s old town of Oslo. D’Orzio and Krakvik have long been the go to stylists for high-end furniture companies and magazines. Together they have successfully transitioned from set design to interiors of bars and starting their own boutique homewares company. These two define design couple goals…
Combining their different tastes, design techniques and their Italian and Scandinavian backgrounds creates a balanced blend of residential bliss. The walls are used as neutral backdrops throughout the apartment with a successful mix of visually rich layers of marble, timber, precious metals and injections of their own personally sourced objects. There are hints of Italian quirkiness and Scandinavian sensibilities – but their style wouldn’t be one without the other. Opposites attract and complement too…
