Radnor’s New York Penthouse
Founded in 2016 by Susan Clark, Radnor’s ethos is one of accessible, elevated living. The brand works with artists and designers who create “mindfully-made” objects and curates an online offering of handcrafted, unique designs.
Showing during the month of June to coincide with New York Design Month, the online retailer has taken up residence in a New York Penthouse to debut their first in-house furniture line, Radnor Made. The exhibition, which also showcases the brand’s collection from design houses like Bunn Studio, Adam Rogers, Julianne Ahn and Marie Eklund, is the retailer’s first bricks-and-mortar manifestation.
Co-curated with New York design studio Workstead, the space is conceptualised to “transform the traditional retail experience through the creation of distinctive seasonal installations”, whilst housing the Radnor’s new collection.
The exhibition, ‘Material Interiors’, a site-specific installation, is currently on display at The Bryant apartments. A luxury residential building designed by David Chipperfield Architects, The Bryant serves as the perfect backdrop for the display, with its herringbone oak floors, honed terrazzo borders and wall cladding, all set against the Bryant Park landscape.
“Material Interiors” marks the first installation of an ongoing series by Radnor that will reimagine the retail experience through intelligent, seasonal events.
