Katrin Coetzer
We chanced upon these sweet works by artist Katrin Coetzer, an illustrator and designer based in Cape Town. This series is titled ‘Honeymoon’, and while Katrin is indeed recently married – the name is more a reflection of her life, and the meeting of her inner world, her imaginings, her memories and the places she has been.
There is something innocent, restrained and muted about each piece, as different as they are, and their whimsical nature is completely enchanting. They have a dreamlike quality and colour palette that is so beautiful and perhaps just a little bit magical.
