Inka Järvinen ‘Moonmachine 1’
Helsinki-based graphic artist Inka Järvinen’s ‘Moonmachine 1’ series is a beautifully controlled architectural studies of linear planes, morphing graphs, linework and shadow. Contemplative visions of an ordered mind, they are works of minimalist beauty.
Precise and emotive, Järvinen’s monochromatic palette is punctuated with Yves Klein blue, soft pinks and pale grey greens. As a collection her works are a rounded narrative of methodical framework, crafted yet orderly sculptures they bleed at their edges, embracing blank space and a soft enveloping black fog.
Starting her creative career with a fashion degree, Järvinen soon found she was more interested in the illustrative side of the process and by following this intuition, she worked her way through a graphic design degree. From there, she co-founded ‘Tsto’, a creative agency with a client list that includes Artek, Nokia and countless art associations.
