Arent&Pyke’s 10-Year Anniversary Celebrations
October 2017 marked the 10-year anniversary of Arent&Pyke and to commemorate this exciting milestone, we celebrated with key media, photographers, stylists, suppliers, family and friends who have supported the business over the years. In the spirit of celebrating, Arent&Pyke held two events to reminisce a decade in design.
To kick off the celebrations, Arent&Pyke principals Juliette Arent and Sarah-Jane Pyke hosted a soiree at the beautiful Sean’s Panaroma in Bondi on a sunny spring evening in October. The ambiance of Sean’s Panaroma was perfect for the night’s celebrations. The setting was intimate and relaxed, encouraging guests to feel like they were dining in a private home surrounded by old friends.
Bright and blooming poppies, hand-written calligraphy place cards and custom menus decorated the tables, complementing the adorned walls of eclectic landscape, portrait and still life artworks.
It was a scene of colour, excitement and energy – aptly embodying the Arent&Pyke ethos. Guests were greeted with glasses of Bollinger champagne and fresh rock oysters, later followed by a menu of signature dishes prepared by the lovely Sean’s team. David Clark, a dear friend of Arent&Pyke’s, gave a speech during dinner, beautifully capturing the essence of what it means to be a part of the Australian design industry and the contributions that Arent&Pyke has proudly made. His insight and experience of the design world was truly inspiring and engaging.
With so many reasons to celebrate, why have one party when you can have two?
In early November, the Arent&Pyke team celebrated with family and friends at our studio in Surry Hills. Florist Doctor Lisa Cooper created sculptural masterpieces, uniquely adorned with branches of dogwood, hydrangeas, red grapes, roses and bulbs of garlic. The floral displays were styled in vintage silver bowls, adding a touch of decadence and moody romance to the room.
The atmosphere for the evening was upbeat, yet relaxed, led by the acoustic singer Elle-May and her guitarist. The studio was at maximum capacity with nearest and dearest friends and family and the excitement was infectious.
There was a lot of love in the air on both occasions, making each event an unforgettable night. The team was thrilled to celebrate Arent&Pyke’s 10-year anniversary with so many special people and look forward to what the next 10 years will hold.
There’s no time for sleep now!
