IN/OUT - COLOUR WEEK: ARENT&PYKE & TAUBMANS at DESIGNEX 2014

Arent&Pyke are delighted to announce that we have been working with Taubmans to design their stand for designEX which opens this Wednesday at Glebe Island in Sydney. Taubmans briefed us to design a space where people could really experience the immense colour offering of the iconic brand, and this inspired us to consider how the Australian experience of colour is evolving.

When we experience colour, we are understanding and experiencing the pure joy that colour can bring to our lives and our spaces. It is about its transformative powers. It is about celebrating the mood it creates, its unique personality and its power to appeal differently to each and every one of us.

Arent&Pyke have created three colour palettes of Taubmans colours that reflect the increasingly confident use of colour in Australia. At their stand at designEX 2014, Taubmans are asking visitors to vote on their favourite colour palette. And here they are!

Come and celebrate a colourful life with Arent&Pyke this Colour Week and win an exclusive Arent&Pyke #mycolourfullife gift bag this week on In/Out. Simply subscribe and comment below or on any post this ‘Colour Week’ to win!

Love all 3 palettes, but number 2 is my favourite, love the sofa….love all of your work!! Well done for your awards….

  2. Monique says:

    Love Palette Three!

  3. kate stratton says:

design leads colour, colour leads design

  4. Rickey Fuller says:

Love colour palette 3. Found the colours for my mum’s bedroom that I will be painting.

  5. Dee Quinn says:

Love the painted look to the fabrics in palette two – they look amazing with the Aboriginal artwork!

  6. Love this post. The first Italian Kitchen colours have now made me realise why I chose that green for my own cabinets. The Italian in me has projected itself in green white and charcoal. Great Neuatral mix in the middle and that Simple Monochrome Scandi feel at the end is a winner. Always so hard to pick the right white shades for clients in this look.

  7. Meg says:

Love the sense of tranquility from palette 3, however it’s palette 2 that keeps drawing my attention.

  8. M Taylor says:

Your “apple kitchen” is one of my all-time favourites. The contrast between the green panels and red apple is delicious!

  9. Selina Wain says:

Love, love, love your work. Your correlations with art, objects and colour just does it for me. Brilliant.

  10. Rebecca says:

I am such a fan of Enzo Mari And his clever bold art. Loving!

  11. Rebecca says:

Also the colour palette in the bottom images, grey and white. Bedroom perfection.

  12. Mikala says:

The first palette is my favourite, that would have to be my dream kitchen!

  13. Absolutely loving the Colour Week posts and that Taubmans wall is amazing – hopefully there’s something as good at DesignEx in Melbourne next year! My absolute favourite colours of the moment are Taubmans Florentine Pink and Indian Maze – paired with natural oak and the odd dash of black, I love this palette for a funky modern lounge room.

  14. Melissa says:

I just can’t go past Palette #2….. that Florentine pink :)….. gorgeous!
