The earthly delights of Kathleen Whitaker Jewellery

LA-based jeweller Kathleen Whitaker’s one-of-a-kind elevated pieces combine semi-precious gemstones with pure geometric forms. It is with such compositional finesse that Whitaker’s refined eye articulates perfectly the balance of each stone with its delicate companion of fine gold bars, pins and discs.

Elemental materials borrowed from the earth, Whitaker has shaped both by hand – one into a pure and refined functional device, the other into a tamed yet wild embellishment – to create singularly unique wearables.

Celebrating the festive season and harnessing the patronage of loyal customers and directing it to a greater good, Kathleen will be donating 5% of sales to Planned Parenthood as part of the #WomenTogether campaign.

In the aftermath of the 2016 Presidential Election, many women in the USA who rely on Planned Parenthood for their vital reproductive health care, sex education, and information panicked. Republicans have repeatedly brought the healthcare provider up to the chopping block every time budgets come around. Under President-Elect Trump and his VP-to-be Pence, women’s healthcare looks incredibly bleak, but in the words of the retiring First Lady Michelle Obama, “When they go low, we go high.”

Doing just that, participating designers of #WomenTogether, including Ulla Johnson, Ace & Jig, and Rachel Comey, join Kathleen Whitaker donating 5% of profits to Planned Parenthood from November 25 to November 28.
